Thank you to the Orlando Business Journal for a great feature on how minority-owned businesses across Florida can apply for fixed-rate, low-interest loans through the Southern Opportunity and Resilience (SOAR) Fund. Javier Zamora, owner of Sushi Kong restaurant, used a SOAR loan to strengthen his delivery system, open ghost kitchens, and transform the inside of his restaurant – paving the way for him to open new locations.
The Fund still has approximately $20 million available for small business owners across the South. https://www.bizjournals.com/orlando/news/2022/08/29/orlando-minority-business-owners-access-millions.html.

I care about how the application moves, which documents are requested, how fast updates arrive, when payments start, and whether the account stays easy to manage. We kept every email and reference number in one folder because it made follow-up much simpler. From that experience, birch lending worked as a useful comparison only when borrower stories explained the process in order instead of giving a short opinion. I prefer reviews that include enough detail to understand what happened after approval.
